Jerry L. Hoganson, LNHA – President
Jerry L. Hoganson, President of Wesley Manor, is an experienced health care administrator with decades of service in a variety of settings. Born and raised in Minnesota, he received his Bachelors Degree from Concordia College, Moorhead, MN, majoring in Hospital Administration. He also attended St. Mary’s College of Minnesota in the Masters of Arts Program in Health and Human Services Administration. He has worked in clinics, hospitals, and long-term care, in Minnesota and Washington, and for three years on the island of Madagascar as a medical missionary with the American Lutheran Church. He has published numerous articles for health care journals, and is a past member of the American College of Health Care Administrators. While in St. Paul, Minnesota, he became consecrated as a Diakonal Minister in Health and Human Services with the United Church of Christ. Jerry and his wife, Chris, have two grown children and two grandchildren. His interests also include music, bicycling, and golf.

Mark Stephens, BSBA – Vice President of Administration, CFO
Mark received his BSBA degree in Finance from the University of Louisville in 1987 and has been with Wesley Manor for 14 years as Chief Financial Officer, following a career in banking. He received his Non-Profit Management Certification from Bellarmine University.
Mark oversees the general business operations of the facility, is responsible for the physical plant, the Village at Wesley Manor and works closely with the Board of Directors and banks in reporting and documenting all financial matters.

Deanna Young, RN, BSN, CDONA/LTC – Vice President of Nursing & Client Services
Deanna was graduated from the University of Louisville with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and later received her credentials as a Certified Director of Nursing Administration in long term care (RN, BSN, CDONA/LTC).
Deanna serves as Director of Nursing & Client Services in Hoskinson House Assisted Living Center, Memory Care Center and the Health Care Center. Her responsibilities include oversight of all operations and activities in that area. She plays a key role in all admissions, transfers, and discharges, and participates in all family care plan meetings, quality assurance. Deanna co-facilitates Wesley Manor’s Alzheimer’s Support Group, is actively involved in community education/outreach and is on the Speakers Bureau for the Alzheimer’s Association.

Anita Kuvin, BA, CMP - Vice President,
Development and Communication
Anita received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Marketing and Merchandising from Florida State University, and is one of 479 Certified Marketing Professionals (CMP’s) in long term care in the country. She has received four National Mature Media Marketing Awards for her writing and brochure design.
Anita is responsible for marketing, advertising, fundraising and special events at Wesley Manor, as well mission advancement between Wesley Manor and KY United Methodist churches, and local churches of other denominations, and community outreach.

Mike Wideman, BS, MSW - Director of Social Services
Originally a native of southeastern Michigan, Mike graduated from Michigan State University with his Master’s degree in Social Work in 1983. Louisville has been his home since 1996. Prior to arriving at Wesley Manor in 2001, he worked as a long term care consultant, director of assisted living and hospice agencies, and as manager of health care quality assurance program services.
In 2009, Mike was the recipient of Spalding University’s “Outstanding Social Work Practicum Supervisor” Award. He oversees social services to residents in our Health Care Center and Memory Care Center, and coordinates tours and admissions in the Health Care Center.

Rev. Rebecca Church, BA, MDIV - Director of Pastoral Services
Rebecca has been Chaplain at Wesley Manor since 1996. She is an ordained Baptist minister with a BA from the University of Louisville and Master of Divinity Degree in Pastoral Care and Counseling from Louisville’s Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. She was clinically trained at Duke University Medical Center and has many years of pastoral experience. Rebecca has served as a Chaplain to the Federal Prison System.
In addition to Rebecca’s duties as Wesley Manors Chaplain, she is also active in community outreach. She facilitates a monthly Alzheimer’s Support Group, offers religious programming for clients and residents of Wesley Manor and is always looking for new means to better the quality of life for those who call Wesley Manor “home”.

Peggy Spaulding,ADC - Activities Director
Peggy began her career at Wesley Manor in 1978 in our Health Care Center while still a senior at nearby Southern High School. Following her high school graduation in 1979, she received her certification as a Medicine Technician and as a Certified Nursing Assistant. In 1991, Peggy was also certified in Activities, and became Wesley Manor’s Activity Director. She has her Commercial Driver’s License and can frequently be seen driving Wesley Manor’s van for resident outings and activities.
In 2002, Peggy was honored as the very first recipient of “The Golden Shoe” Sister Carl Marie Activity Director Award by KAHSA (Kentucky Association of Homes and Services for the Aging).
Peggy oversees activities in all areas of our community and she trains, guides and directs Activity Coordinators in Hoskinson House Assisted Living Center, the Memory Care Center and the Health Care Center.

Nancy Sattenberg, RD, LD - Food Services Director
Nancy Canseco-Sattenberg, RD, LD, joined Wesley Manor as Food Services Dir. in the summer of 2009. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, and has years of dedicated service and experience as both a Director of Nutrition and Food Services and Clinical Dietitian. A Registered Dietitian for more than 15 years, Nancy is a distinguished member of the American Dietetic Association. She is a Certified Dietitian-Nutritionist in New York, and a Licensed Dietitian in both PA and KY. Nancy has studied at the Culinary Institute of America in Napa Valley, California, and is an accomplished pastry chef.

Beth May, MSSW - Social Worker
Beth May received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Transylvania University in 1981. After working in the legal field for years she decided to return to school and received her Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Louisville in 2007. She joined Wesley Manor Retirement Community as a social worker upon completion of her MSSW. Beth’s main work emphasis is in our Memory Care Center. She also coordinates Wesley Manor’s involvement and fundraising efforts for the Alzheimer’s “Memory Walk,” which is held each fall.

Carol Ray - Executive Assistant/Human Resources
Carol came to Wesley Manor in 1978 as Secretary to the Administrator, but her duties have been expanded to include Human Resources support as well. She receives employment applications and maintains all employee personnel and volunteer records, such as continuing education hours and insurance, evaluations, etc., in addition to resident files.
In addition, Carol is Secretary to Pres. Jerry Hoganson and Wesley Manor’s Board of Directors, and also our committees for Quality Assurance, Ethics, Administrative Staff, Personnel and Resident Care. She can be reached at 502-969-3277.

Angela Satterly, CNA - Client Services Coordinator
Angela joined Wesley Manor in 2008 as a Certified Nursing Assistant (“CNA”) in our Health Care Center and was promoted to Assisted Living and Memory Care Centers’ Client Services Coordinator in August of 2009. Prior to becoming a CNA, Angela was a real estate paralegal who worked as a closer and post-closing manager. A Louisville native, Angela decided to change her career direction because she loves interaction with seniors. She enjoys learning their life stories and truly values their wisdom and experience.

Norma Henderson - Patio Home & Marketing Coordinator
Bringing with her a broad experience in a wide variety of administrative leadership roles, Norma joined Wesley Manor in 2001 as Marketing Assistant. She held this position until March 2003 when she was promoted to her current dual role as Marketing and Patio Home Coordinator. In this position, Norma assists in patio home advertising plans and with some special events and public relations efforts. She also coordinates all patio home tours, placements and resident relations for Wesley Manor’s independent senior living community in the Village at Wesley Manor .

Sherri Switzer - Development Assistant
Sherri joined our team in Nov. 2006, bringing much experience in bookkeeping, event management, administrative support and customer services. She oversees all donor records and correspondence, and assists with fundraising events. Sherri is also an award-winning interior designer whose creative and artistic abilities have brightened our Assisted Living, Memory Care and Health Care Centers.
